Editor’s Notes
Welcome to the July / August edition of Carers News.
Hello! My name is Rachel, and this is Pepper, I am the editor of Carers News. The Carers News email subscription has a new look! I’m very excited about giving carers the chance to find out more about the latest news from Carers Leeds. I hope you enjoy reading about our success at the GSK IMPACT Awards, something that has made the team here at Carers Leeds more determined to grow and develop our support for carers in Leeds. Also featured in this issue; the Leeds Commitment to Carers, a Family Fun Day, Afternoon Tea Dance and a focus on the support available to carers from Black, Asian and Ethnic Minority communities. In the meantime, we have been celebrating our busiest time of year planning events for Volunteers Week, Carers Week and Learning Disability Week – more about that next issue! Have you come across a new, useful or friendly service that other carers may benefit from, or perhaps you want to share your story and experiences of being a carer? I would love to hear from you. contact me at : [email protected]
